Pedestrians Integrated with Public Transport Expedited

The development and improvement of pedestrian facilities in Jakarta that are integrated into public transportation start to expedite until 2020. It is carried out on 31 roads such as protocol, artery and connecting.

"We plan and design places that are integrated with MRT, BRT, LRT, commuter train and others," expressed Jakarta Bina Marga Agency Head Hari Nugroho, Tuesday (8/27).

Related to integration with the MRT, pedestrian facilities connected to eight MRT stations will be improved to support pedestrian accessibility.

Four Priorities to Overcome Transportation and Air Quality Issues

Those eight stations are Lebak Bulus, Fatmawati, Cipete, Blok A, Blok M, Asean, Bendungan Hilir and Setiabudi.

"We have Rp 1.1 trillion to expand its pedestrians up to 47 km height," he stated.

Currently his party is building and arranging pedestrians on Jalan Kemang Raya, Jalan Prof Dr Satrio Casablanca, Jalan Cikini Raya, Jalan Salemba-Kramat Raya, Jalan Yos Sudarso, Jalan Otto Iskandardinata, Jalan Pangeran Diponegoro, Jalan Matraman Raya, Jalan Danau Sunter Utara and Jalan Latumenten.

"The work progress has reached almost 14 km height," he told.

It was deemed able to encourage private vehicle users to public transport and reduce traffic jam, including air pollution.

So, here are 31 roads that have been listed in the project:

For 2019 include;

1. Jalan DR Satrio

2. Jalan Otto Iskandardinata

3. Jalan Matraman Raya

4. Jalan Pangeran Diponegoro

5. Jalan Kramat Raya and Jalan Salemba Raya

6. Jalan Cikini Raya

7. Jalan Latumenten

8. Jalan Danau Sunter Utara

9. Jalan Yos Sudarso

10. Jalan Kemang Raya

For 2020 include;

1. Jalan RA Kartini

2. Jalan Lebak Bulus Raya

3. Jalan Fatmawati

4. Jalan MT Haryono

5. Jalan Dewi Sartika

6. Jalan Gatot Subroto

7. Jalan KH Mas Mansyur

8. Jalan HR Rasuna Said

9. Jalan Kasablanka

10. Jalan Saharjo

11. Jalan Tomang Raya

12. Jalan Cideng Barat atau Timur

13. Jalan Kebon Sirih

14. Jalan Arief Rahman Hakim

15. Jalan Juanda

16. Jalan Letjen Suprapto

17. Jalan Tubagus Angke

18. Jalan RE Martadinata

19. Jalan Kayuputih and Jalan Balap Sepeda

20. Segments of Jalan Sisingamangaraja, namely Jalan Hangtuah, Jalan Raden Patah and Jalan Pati Unus
